PEDRO TAPIA ZAMORA
About Me
“A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.” — Christopher Reeve
Hello! My name is Pedro Tapia Zamora and as a Mechanical Engineering Junior at Boston University concentrating in Energy Technologies & Sustainability with a minor in Mathematics, I am driven to save the planet by improving access to clean energy and creating sustainable solutions for manufacturing challenges in aeronautical structures. At heart I am a problem solver who thinks creatively to build innovative solutions. I combine rigorous analysis with hands-on field experience to deliver engineering work that makes a real impact.

Outside Hobbies
Just some things I do outside the lab and classroom.
Powerlifting
I enjoy challenging my physical limits and going beyond. Powerlifting has allowed me to build a disciplined mindset that endures no matter what. Also, I just love having capable strength as it has allowed me to live a sustainable life.
Cooking
My mother taught me how to cook and it has since been a creative outlet of mine. Cooking has shown me that it is a form of art that is often overlooked yet carries as much value as a brush and paint.
Watching Films
With any free time, I always take that as an excuse to watch films. Films are a great storytelling technique that has given me a deep appreciation for cinema. My favorite films are Donnie Darko, Superman, Rocky, and Coraline!
